Mac OS USB Connection Set-up

The StarAid Revolution implements a standard USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget. Unfortunately some versions of Mac OS X does not include the correct device driver for this. This page provides instructions for installing the correct device driver.

Instructions

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Unplug the StarAid USB cable.

  2. Download the latest HoRNDIS driver for Mac OS.

  3. Install the driver on your Mac.

  4. Plug the StarAid USB cable into your Mac.

  5. You can now access the StarAid Web App via http://169.254.54.1/. Note that the connection may take up to a minute or two to set-up the first time.
