Reset all user settings to defaults

StarAid is a complex product with many user settings that can interact in unexpected ways. Resetting these settings back to their defaults puts StarAid back into a well defined state, often resolving configuration related issues.

Instructions

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Download StarAid_Revolution_Reset_User_Settings.swu on your PC or mobile device.

  2. Connect StarAid to the same PC or mobile device. Use WiFi or the supplied USB cable.

  3. Open the Web App via one of the following URLs:
    http://169.254.54.1 (Via USB)
    http://192.168.55.1 (Via WiFi)

  4. Click on the menu icon (three bars) in the upper-left corner.

  5. Select Software update (or Settings -> Software update on older versions).

  6. Update the device with the downloaded StarAid_Revolution_Reset_User_Settings.swu file by following the instructions in the App: Click here, or drag and drop a software update image file to this area.

  7. Wait for the update to complete.

  8. Once the update is complete, all user settings will be back to their defaults.
